My husband, Capt. Rob, suffered from a rare autoimmune disorder, PSC, for eighteen years until he received his liver transplant at Mayo Clinic on September 10, 2020. My book, "Saved by a Stranger" tells our story and chapters from many others who have survived and thrived since their organ transplant. As a result of our second chance, I am a huge advocate for organ donation and transplantation.
