Heart of a Heel

Every heartbeat tells a story, and at Carolina, those stories reflect pride, unity, and the power to make a difference. Heart of a Heel started with passionate UNC students motivated to bring together the Carolina community — athletes, patients whose lives have been strengthened through organ donation, health professionals dedicated to saving lives, and North Carolina’s leading advocates for organ, eye, and tissue donation — to inspire Tar Heels to register as donors. This campaign transforms community passion into purpose, showing that the Carolina family’s compassion extends far beyond the game and into the lives of those waiting for a second chance. Every registration brings us one step closer to saving lives because true Tar Heels give from the heart.
