Hello! I’m London Hibbs, Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2019. When I was five years old, my grandfather passed away from early on-set Alzheimer’s disease, and donated his brain to be used for medical research. At ten years old, my great uncle’s life was saved by a lung donation from a generous young man who was killed in a vehicle accident. Later, when I was 15, a close family friend passed away when she was just 18. She was a registered organ, eye, and tissue donor who saved 8 lives directly and impacted hundreds. Now, at 17 years old, I travel the state of Texas encouraging teens getting their drivers licenses to check yes for life by becoming a registered organ donor.
